اين موتور با عملکرد بالا از تکنولوژی جديدی برای کاهش مصرف سوخت استفاده می‌کند. به همين دليل اين موتور برای کسانی که هزينه سوخت برای آنها مهم است، انتخاب خوبی است. موتور 80 اسب سوزوکی از زنجير تايم به جای تسمه تايم استفاده می‌کند. مهمترين مزيت آن عدم استفاده از تعمير و نگهداری می‌باشد. در ضمن اين موتور از انژکتورهای الکترونيکی، آلترناتورهای با ظرفيت بالا، و سيستم جديد مهار جک برقی برخوردار است.
بخش پائينی موتور (پوسته گيربکس) 80 اسب سوزوکی بصورت هيدروديناميکی طراحی و ساخته شده است. اين فرم موجب می‌شود تا درگ به اندازه 36% در مقايسه با طرح‌های معمولی کاهش يابد. به همين دليل اين طرح موجب می‌شود تا شناور بتواند به سرعتها و شتابهای بالاتری دست يابد.

With the introduction of MFS140A counter-rotation model, the combination of standard and counter rotation models provides better maneuverability and stability in twin MFS140A applications.
