This outboard is equipped with proven technology, including electronic fuel injection (EFI) and microcomputer programmed ignition, which provides quick throttle response, excellent fuel economy, and very smooth rides on the water. The MFS40 also has a high output 21 amp alternator for superior battery charging. The adjustable steering friction and trim tab reduces your amount of steering effort, making for an easier and more enjoyable boating experience. Convenience is also covered with the 40hp four stroke’s built-in freshwater flushing system, making routine flushing quick and easy. The 40hp EFI four stroke not only offers a more powerful ride while using less fuel, but is among the lightest on the water in its class. The MFS115 design is built on our best-selling models the MFS40/50/60 and the MFS9.9/15/20. The legacy of our top performing and most reliable engines has been passed on, with a dynamic design and sophisticated details, to our all new MFS115 4-stroke outboard with industry-first innovative feature and characteristics. The groundbreaking industry-first technology, 4-2-1 Performance Tuned Exhaust, provides incomparable torque throughout the RPM range. The higher torque you have the better hole shot, which translates to faster speeds. Higher torque also means less drag, which in turn means more boating options; it could be applied to any type of boat. From light to heavy, pleasure or commercial boats. The synergy between the 4-2-1 Performance Tuned Exhaust and our fine-tuned ECU programming, MFS115 provides a strong acceleration when needed in order to get the boat on plane quicker and allowing you to reach the top end speed faster. Equipped with standard features such as Variable Idle System allowing you to change the idle speed from 650 to 850 RPMs, a low gear ratio (2.08:1) giving you the increased low end torque your boat needs, a fresh-water Flushing System designed to make routine flushing easier, and a High Output 41 amp Alternator, the MFS115 provides the industry leading features you expect from Tohatsu.

The 200 hp powerful four stroke, the BFT200D, brings a large displacement 3.6 liter V6. This narrow V6 design offers top performance and durability, as well as great fuel economy. The high output alternator provides a 90 amp alternator with 60 charging amps. The new BFT200D provides a broader torque range and smoother power throughout the engine’s operating range. With an innovated exterior, the improvement of corrosion resistance and water intrusion makes BFT200D the right choice.

Our recently introduced line-up of MFS75-115A has expanded to 140 horsepower. With a dynamic design and sophisticated details, the MFS140A provides outstanding torque, increased durability, optimized weight and smooth operation. Unique and industry-first 4-2-1 Performance Tuned Exhaust manifold has been designed to maximize low end torque and acceleration performance. Best in class torque to displacement ratio creates excellent performance for all styles of boats from light to heavy weight, pleasure or commercial use. On certain boat applications, the MFS140A will perform similarly when compared to heavier 150 horsepower outboards that weigh as much as 100 pounds more. Engineered with Simpliq™ Technology, the MFS140A has a SOHC-4V design. The spark plugs are strategically placed in the center of each combustion chamber for the most efficient combustion with optimal heat conduction, which results in strong running and fuel efficiency. With the introduction of MFS140A counter-rotation model, the combination of standard and counter rotation models provides better maneuverability and stability in twin MFS140A applications.
