That’s why we have taken our 15 hp model and made it better by introducing our MFS15hp Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) which is the lightest 4-stroke battery-less EFI 15hp model in the industry! You can enjoy added features such as a higher power-to-weight ratio, which is the most important factor for small horsepower outboards. We also succeeded in drastically reducing sound level and vibration on our new 15hp EFI outboard. One major advantage of the EFI system is a quick startup with no choke needed and provides crisp acceleration throughout all RPM ranges as well as a significantly increased fuel efficiency at wide open throttle. Go ahead; put the engine to the test! You won’t regret it! Power Tilt! We’ve added Power Tilt to our remote steering/throttle models to provide you even greater operating convenience. This engine offers the same features as our standard 15hp EFI model plus an added power tilt feature for greater operating convenience. The new generation of MFS8C/9.8C(W) model lineup is engineered to be EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) for the first time in 200cc class. The battery-less EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) model is the lightest 2-cylinder 8/9.8 hp on the market, with upgraded features from its predecessor. In addition to upgrading this model to EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection), Tohatsu has applied various key features.

This portable best-seller has been upgraded with newly designed top and bottom cowl based on the Tohatsu Design Philosophy for Marine Products using Simpliq™ Technology with ergonomically designed front and back carrying handles. With a dynamic design and sophisticated details, the MFS140A provides outstanding torque, increased durability, optimized weight and smooth operation. Unique and industry-first 4-2-1 Performance Tuned Exhaust manifold has been designed to maximize low end torque and acceleration performance. Best in class torque to displacement ratio creates excellent performance for all styles of boats from light to heavy weight, pleasure or commercial use. On certain boat applications, the MFS140A will perform similarly when compared to heavier 150 horsepower outboards that weigh as much as 100 pounds more. Engineered with Simpliq™ Technology, the MFS140A has a SOHC-4V design. The spark plugs are strategically placed in the center of each combustion chamber for the most efficient combustion with optimal heat conduction, which results in strong running and fuel efficiency. With the introduction of MFS140A counter-rotation model, the combination of standard and counter rotation models provides better maneuverability and stability in twin MFS140A applications.
